09 Oct Doha Heat’s podcast with WWHIDoha
Doha Heat began in June 2014 when British expat, John Savage, who had been living in the city for 6 years with his family, felt there was a lack of media attention directed at everyday individuals’ stories. With John returning to the UK in July, Andrew assumed the role of Producer and interviewer. As of September 2016, Andrew transitioned out and Ginger Camel Managing Director Stefan Lindberg-Jones stepped into being the new producer.
The podcast promotes local initiatives and highlights individuals who are contributing positively to Qatari social and economic well-being. With 200+ episodes already recorded and published on iTunes, the entity has grown rapidly. Although originally envisioned as a single podcast, Doha Heat evolved into a series of daily, thematic podcasts illuminating the best parts of Doha and the stories of those who call it home. Interviews take place in a relaxed environment and seek to be honest conversations, like the type you might have with a friend over coffee/tea/karak.
